Program Cut-Off: The University has set the cut-off point for admission into the BSc Public Health program at 16.

Importance of Cut-Off Points

Admission Requirements

A Diploma
Applicants who meet the prerequisites and hold a diploma in health or closely related sciences may enroll at Level 200, which is the second year of a four-year bachelor’s degree program. Applicants are accepted to 200 Level.
Requirements for Entry:

Applicants holding diplomas from the University of Ghana, institutions connected with it, or recognized by it must have a FGPA of 3.2 or more, or the equivalent, and they must appear in person for a selection interview.


On the advice of a special committee that the dean will create, diplomas from universities other than those listed above may be accepted.
Three years of full-time study for those entering at Level 200
In order to evaluate the candidate’s prior training, the committee will review transcripts and diploma course material. Based on this evaluation, the committee will propose the candidate to the dean. Those who make the short list must take an entrance exam and show up for a selection interview.
