The School of Continuing and Distance Education at the University of Ghana has set up a series of Learning Centres across the nation to support distance learning. Functions and Roles
Each Learning Centre is managed by a Coordinator, who is a senior member of the University of Ghana. The Coordinators are responsible for overseeing activities such as tutorials for Distance Education students, continuing professional development programmes for the youth and adults, non-formal programmes, and community engagement.
These Learning Centres extend the University’s presence to their respective regions, providing educational opportunities to student and adult populations beyond the traditional classroom setting.
The goal of these Learning Centres is to evolve into centres of excellence that offer a high intellectual environment for students and adults and also promote opportunities for community service for the development of the people in the ten regions of Ghana.
